Obama Moves Closer to White House

May 17, 2008 at 12:06 pm (Uncategorized) ()

Ok, I predicted in the beginning that America will not elect a Black or a woman. So far I am batting .500 ;-)   I still do not believe Obama will win the general election. History has shown that no matter how in vogue you are or how much we like a winner, at the end of the day, a Blackman is still a Blackman.

Don’t Forget That Hillary or Barack are Not saying The Key Word- Peace!

March 29, 2008 at 11:44 am (Uncategorized) (, , , )

When all is said and done, the best possible solution to Iraq, Afganistan, poverty, hate and all the major ( and minor) problems of the world is peace.

Bridge collapses, child murders, mass killings at school?- peace! Lack of jobs? Forclosures? – peace!

All issues go back to a peace -time economy. That is the issue of the ages. Except Hillary and Barack are playing a deadly game.

Gov Paterson Also Had Affairs

March 18, 2008 at 11:02 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , )

Since my girlfriend gets out of bed a couple of hours earlier than me, she has the advantage of knowing what is going on in the world before I do. So when I woke up to the yells of “all men are dogs!” I knew I was in trouble. I also knew I hadn’t done anything wrong.

It seems that the new Governor of New York, David Paterson, fresh off the former governor, Elliot Spitzer’s prostitute addictions, was involved with more than one woman over the years.

Without wasting to much more on the ridiculous, I have this to say: David Paterson did nothing that is anybodies business accept his and his wife’s. Who he or any other public official sleeps with is no one’s business.  And only a pervert- or a nation of perverts would want to know.

It is impossible to judge human greatness by sexual behavior- who’s moral and ethical gauge, changes with time, place and culture.  Are we to rip up the bible because many of God’s profits where involved in sexually questionable behavior? Or the United States Constitution (bad example since Bush already ripped that up) because of the rapes committed by the founding fathers on African woman?

Gov. David Paterson is a great man and leader. He will do a fantastic job for New York. We need to stop this hypocrisy and get on with making the country a safer and more democratic place. (do you know where your spouse is?)

Gov. Spitzer is Sick

March 12, 2008 at 10:26 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , )

The tragedy of New York State Governor Elliot Spitzer’s fall from power is more than just a stupid man not being able to control his sex drive.  These are the actions of a sick man.  When all the political epitaphs are finished being written and the smoke clears, people will recognize that Elliot Spitzer is in need of psychological help. It has been said that power corrupts.  But I have to wonder, given the character of recently elected officials, if corrupt people- more so than well meaning citizensl- seek power for power’s sake.  The King is dead, long live the King.  David Paterson will go down in history as one of the greatest governors in New York history.

Hillary: From Village to Destroy the Village

March 5, 2008 at 11:37 am (Uncategorized) (, , , , , )

I don’t support Obama.  Anyone reading this blog is aware of that.  I also don’t support Clinton.  But, I must point out that Clinton  has gone from “needing a village to raise a child” to “destroy the village to save it.”  Sad.

What A Wonderful Setup!

February 20, 2008 at 11:55 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , )

Hillary or Barack?  The truth is I don’t see where either changes the living conditions of poor or oppressed people.  Remember that politics is still politricks.  It is sick for two people to spend between them over two hundred million dollars campaining.  There are children who are cold and hungry.  Their homes and schools are rat infested.A larger issue however is this wonderful setup.  Two key historical progressive coalition members- woman and people of color- chopping each other up.  Setting the movement back twenty years.  Somewhere I just get the feeling that some redneck, right wing hillbilly, is laughing his ass off.

What Is A Black Candidate?

February 4, 2008 at 11:38 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , )

What is a Black candidate? – is a question that has never been discussed in a popular arena. And yet, we are being asked if Obama is a Black candidate. This is part of a major problem related to the question of who are Black leaders.

Suppose a white person, candidate “A”, represents the interests of Black people. Candidate “B”, a Black person, speaks more to right wing, even racist issues. Who is the Black candidate? Is it determined by issue or color?

This is a question that needs to be discussed before we get into who our Black candidates or leaders are. In the case of Obama- skin color and issues aside- he simple is not our man. He is the choice of white people who like the way he walks and talks. They are comfortable with his appearance. He does not make them feel uncomfortable about racism. He was given to us as what they want our leaders to be. Malcolm has already covered the danger in this. Obama represents turning the clock back 50 years for us.
