Don’t Forget That Hillary or Barack are Not saying The Key Word- Peace!
When all is said and done, the best possible solution to Iraq, Afganistan, poverty, hate and all the major ( and minor) problems of the world is peace.
Bridge collapses, child murders, mass killings at school?- peace! Lack of jobs? Forclosures? – peace!
All issues go back to a peace -time economy. That is the issue of the ages. Except Hillary and Barack are playing a deadly game.
Gov Paterson Also Had Affairs
Since my girlfriend gets out of bed a couple of hours earlier than me, she has the advantage of knowing what is going on in the world before I do. So when I woke up to the yells of “all men are dogs!” I knew I was in trouble. I also knew I hadn’t done anything wrong.
It seems that the new Governor of New York, David Paterson, fresh off the former governor, Elliot Spitzer’s prostitute addictions, was involved with more than one woman over the years.
Without wasting to much more on the ridiculous, I have this to say: David Paterson did nothing that is anybodies business accept his and his wife’s. Who he or any other public official sleeps with is no one’s business. And only a pervert- or a nation of perverts would want to know.
It is impossible to judge human greatness by sexual behavior- who’s moral and ethical gauge, changes with time, place and culture. Are we to rip up the bible because many of God’s profits where involved in sexually questionable behavior? Or the United States Constitution (bad example since Bush already ripped that up) because of the rapes committed by the founding fathers on African woman?
Gov. David Paterson is a great man and leader. He will do a fantastic job for New York. We need to stop this hypocrisy and get on with making the country a safer and more democratic place. (do you know where your spouse is?)
Judging Spitzer
Soon to be former Governor, Elliot Spitzer has come crashing down to earth with the impact of a nucleur missile! Here was a man that many believed was a decent, ethical politician who would one day make a serious run at the Presidency. History will now tell a much different story.
As many people judge both Spitzer and the young woman involved in the scandel, all we can do is let him deal with this mess with his diety. After all, in another time and place, this kind of action would not be a scandle, but would be the norm. I always hesitate before calling someone evil. I also hesitate in judging a woman who lives in a society that gives white men the power to decide right and wrong according to their needs. After all, the “worlds oldest profession” thrives in America. This during the age of the terrorist. A time when all members of this society are under government surveillance. If men wanted it to end, it would.
One other thing. I always say “the universe is just.” Elliot Spitzer was brought down by the same laws that was used to unjustly bring down Americas first Black heavy weight boxing champion, Jack Johnson.
Gov. Spitzer is Sick
The tragedy of New York State Governor Elliot Spitzer’s fall from power is more than just a stupid man not being able to control his sex drive. These are the actions of a sick man. When all the political epitaphs are finished being written and the smoke clears, people will recognize that Elliot Spitzer is in need of psychological help.It has been said that power corrupts. But I have to wonder, given the character of recently elected officials, if corrupt people- more so than well meaning citizensl- seek power for power’s sake. The King is dead, long live the King. David Paterson will go down in history as one of the greatest governors in New York history.
Hillary: From Village to Destroy the Village
I don’t support Obama. Anyone reading this blog is aware of that. I also don’t support Clinton. But, I must point out that Clinton has gone from “needing a village to raise a child” to “destroy the village to save it.” Sad.
Obama:Don’t Hate the Playa, Hate the Game!
Because of my past close work with Rev. Al Sharpton, a lot of people who know me assume- and even have insisted- that my criticism of Barack Obama was “hating” as we say. That there are motives less than political for my lack of support for this historic White House endeavor. It is not that at all. It is not the playa; it is the game.
Before we can even get to talking about a candidate that Blacks can passionately support, we must look at the whole democratic election process. I have more problems with that, than I do with the choice of candidate. Is the solution for all that is wrong with the election process suddenly solved by running an African American? Are we that simpleminded? Are we to forget all of the intimidation and dirty tactics that emigrants face when trying to vote? What about all of the electronic election fraud that put Bush in office for a second electoral theft. To me, the preservation of democracy is much more important than who plays in a pale version of it.
Anyone even remotely interested in taking a decent look at Obama beyond his skin will see that he is corrupt and will say or do whatever is necessary to get to the next level of personal success. That’s OK with me. Just don’t call him a leader.
